About Global Crisis Response (GCR):

Focus Areas: Sustainability, Risk Analysis & Management, Climate Change, Societal Collapse, Resilience. Global Crisis Response is a systematic effort aimed at collectively exploring the best means to articulate & navigate the current era of the Anthropocene characterized by Climate Change, scarcity, chaos & uncertainty, forecast the future of trajectories human civilization & explores alternative paradigms (Pluriverse) & transition roadmaps. It is the flagship initiative of Orb Tranz Research & Broadcasting Foundation, a not for profit (Section-8 Company) registered in Mumbai, India. It came into existence in April 2021.

Job Summary:

This role requires reviewing, editing existing and developing new content & strategy for GCR the website. This is a remote role and a certificate/ letter could be provided on successful completion of the role.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Thoroughly understand GCR goals & the profile of its core constituency

• Review and analyse existing content on GCR website

• Submit a preliminary report with an overall website content strategy that promotes the brand

• Refine the page wise strategy after brainstorming with team

• Produce creative and engaging content for each page of the website

Qualifications & Skills:

• The Web Content Specialist must understand the unique needs of their target audience.

• The Web Content Specialist must understand search engine optimization (SEO) and social media. Must be able to craft content that optimizes SEO, as well as create social media posts that attract followers.

• Must be able to grasp the requirements of each of these mediums in order to be successful.

• Must be able to craft content, whether it is the home page copy, a blog, or a video, and combine it with visual elements in order to keep people interested and coming back for more.

• The Web Content Specialist must have a strong eye for the most effective website design and a strong ear for well-written, SEO-driven content. Must be amazing editors that squash grammatical errors before the content goes live.

• Great communication skills, both in writing and verbal communication

• Good at proofreading for errors

• Extremely creative with an eye for layout and design

• Can develop content for complex, efficient websites quickly

Commitment (Content & Time):

• Commit atleast 1-2 hrs per week for orientation, discussion meetings

• Commit atleast 6 hrs per week (total= Min. 72 hrs over 3 months)

• The actual time commitment could vary depending on situations
